Anglo Saxon's

There are five interesting things i learned about the anglo saxons. First, is that the coins that they used to use were actually from silver. That is really cool cuz now a days you have to buy silver which can be really expensive but the anglo saxons actually used silver for money! Second, British people came like from the anglo saxon. I had no idea that The anglo Saxon had kings and everything. to be honest i didnt know a clue about the anglo saxons. I just thought they were white people.lol. Third, they were from the 960's or earlier dude thats a long time ago. I don't really know a lot about ancient times like those so this was something i just learned a few days ago!!
Something else that i learned about the Anglo Saxon is that they buried jewelry, weapons, gold coins, iron items, enormous 'drinking-horns,' textiles and a finely worked shield. They sound so interesting! Finally, Canterbury Cathedral in Canterbury, Kent, is one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England and it is around the Anglo Saxon's time that its the original Saxon Cathedral. The church is still standing today and is a very beautiful church that is a very common site where many people visit.

Beowulf

My favorite part of Beowulf was when Beowulf went to kill Grendel and Grendel didn't know that when he planned to kill all those people Beowulf was there waiting for him. Grendel had no idea that death was waiting for him. As Grendel and Beowulf started to fight Grendel realized that Beowulf was very strong and his first thought was to run away from him. Grendel didn't had the guts to leave and Beowulf destroyed him. Afterwards, Beowulf hanged Grendel's broken arm and all the people were really happy that they would finally live in peace. This was my favorite part.

Me, Myself, and I

Something I have done that no one in my class has done is gone to six flags with my boyfriend and my parents letting me go without imagining I was going to go with my boyfriend. My boyfriend's sister is my little sisters friend so she invited me and my sister and we went. My parents had no idea I was spending the day at six flags with my boyfriend.

Three objectives for myself would be bashful, lonely, and peaceful.
I am a very bashful person that i get embarrassed very easily and I'm very shy and timid. Most of the times you will see me alone the only times you see me is when I'm around a person that i know cares about me and i know will make me good company. I am a very peaceful person. I really don't like to start a fight and prefer to rather talk about it and work out the problems.

A brief history of my name is that it means Our lady of solitude. Which is true I usually like to do things on my own I am own most of the time. The name Marisol is a combination of the names Maria and Soledad. There is a Spanish singer and actress Josefa Flores Gonzalez, who is known as Marisol, she had an impact on the name starting in the 1960s which was popular in 1962.

15 fun goals I would like to accomplish by June 15, 2009 are to learn how to skateboard, read all 30 books from the library that are listed to be the most recommended books for teens, Be at school all the time ( be absent at the most 5 times), talk with the school counselor about going into college, apply for college, get a good score on my ACT exam, Get a job, Buy a cell phone, Get permission from my parents to date, Join clubs at school, earn close to thirty community hours or more for graduation, Go to Mexico with my parents for winter break, plant a tree or do something to help improve the environment, and Actually beat my brother in a bike race. He keeps bragging that hes faster than me! We always go to the park and race but he always wins. Those are my 15 fun goals to accomplish before June 15, 2009!
